Cubbald comes from the words "cub" and "bald." It takes inspiration from the prophet Elisha, from the Bible, specifically 2 Kings chapter 2. Cubbald is a young purple bear who suffers from mange, a disease that involves animals losing fur. It also carries a staff to give it more of that prophet-y look. Its typing is psychic.

Maulisha comes from the words "maul" and "Elisha." It is now a ferocious mama bear ready to destroy anyone who dares bully others. In 2 Kings 2, the story goes that a huge crowd of boys were laughing at Elisha because of his baldness. He cursed them, and two she-bears came out and mauled 42 of the boys who bullied Elisha's bald head. Maulisha continues the theme of mange, but now wields a scroll in place of its staff, so it can write down its adventures. Its typing is now psychic/fighting.
