Pokemon Special 42 Week ChallengeIn which I almost fail due to uni and classmates and stuff //SHOT

I was honestly at a lost on what to do for this week, not only because choosing a scene from the whole manga is hard but because... really none of them really stuck and gave me that feel of being THAT scene, picked this one n the end because I really love how Gold and Silver teamed up, back to back, and that awesome ice/fie combination yes <3
lazy bg is lazy but at least I did a decent linart and put more heart in the cloring this time because <3 feels it deserves it

"Lazy background" Dude that's way better than my lazy attempts. Although, shouldn't it be green? Since they're in the Ilex Forest, or blue/clear since Masked Man froze the area for his battle field?

the iy wind looks cool yes, not sure if better than the animation though, I like that one more, is supposed to be lik, wind... it's invisible, with small lil ice particles

I did consider using green or blue for BG exactly for those reasons (wait wasn't this battle at the lake of rage?) but I wanted a dark color to emphasize the fire's glow or something and nothing fit ack, the BGS in the challenge are gonna be the death of me

Well it makes sense sort of? Pryce is the gym leader in Mahogany, and Gold, being protag, can't backtrack his journey so after Ecuteak tower business, Mahogony would be next

I just borrowed a bunch of unorganized gold and silver pokespe books for throwback. I hope this scene is in one of them <33 I never really fell for Silver at first, it's when HG/SS came out when I had a sudden realization
I literally looked at the first panel Silver was in and was all like "shit, he's grown hot"
