Me again, and much sooner than I expected.

Here we have my favourite character from The Vampire Chronicles, (which were a HUGE part of my youth.)

Armand...or Amadeo if you prefer.

I dont know why I liked him so much. Everyone adored Lestat (and why not) but Armand struck a cord with me right from the very first moment he set foot on the page. His book was my favourite and I think I just was fascinated by what a contradiction he was in every way. Plus he was bit of a nasty bitch wasnt he? lol

I always knew that if I ever attempted any VC characters Armand would be right at the top of the list.

So this is my humble offering. I really wanted to capture him around the time Marius was painting him. Theres a morbid innocence about him so hes channeling a Momento Mori/Hamlet vibe here.

Im actually quite happy with how it turned out. Ive tried to paint him several times over the years but nothing ever came of it. So Im glad I managed to finish this.

(Im not quite sure why it looks so odd and dark on my android. Its quite a dark pic anyway but on my tablet the background is almost entirely black. Urgh... Im constantly perplexed about the best way to upload things here....)
