- May 2022, Centennial Airport (KAPA) -Doc is one of only two airworthy B-29s. The aircraft was restored by Doc's Friends, returning to the sky in 2016. I was lucky enough to score a free flight aboard the aircraft in the master gunner position. One of the passengers didn't show up, and I snagged the empty seat (perk of the job!) After landing, the pilot said it was the most turbulent flight he'd ever experienced in the aircraft. Passengers were allowed to wander freely, so we really got tossed around. Just a phenomenal experience!
