Description I am!

Today I passed my Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot's oral/practical exam. N8341X, a Piper Turbo Seminole, was the aircraft I trained in and flew for the test.

Fun Fact: This test involves shutting an engine down and turning it back on again. 41X is an old airplane which does not provide the luxury of simply pushing a button to restart a secured engine. It took four tries to get it going! (It was only my second time performing this act - More practice would have helped, but weather prevented this).

Next up: Single-Engine Commercial Pilot's Exam (which is just an add-on) followed by my Certified Flight Instructor License (that's a big test from what I here).

Keep on climbing!

Shiny side down?? That's not what I want at all! The PA-44 is not certified for inverted maneuvers.

But thank you!

I've always heard, "Dirty side down." (In the case of little airplanes - very true).

Many birds have silver undersides, and the livery colors elsewhere. Thus the term, "shiny side" (though you and I both know that aircraft finishes are shiny all over!)

WOO! GO EIGHTYATOR!! Congratulations!!   Will you take some pictures of the planes for us? And how long until you're flying 737s!?

Thank you!

There is one photo of 41X in my gallery - pretty close to the top. I'll see if I have any more worth uploading. The airplane is also included in the drawing "Christmas card."

It will be a few years before I get to fly 737s. I need 1,500 flight hours (obtained through flight instructing or maybe a small charter airline). After I get those hours, I'll fly for a regional airline for 2 or 3 years, likely on an Embraer ERJ or Bombardier CRJ. Then I'm off to a major airline - I'm aiming for United, which will likely start me on a 737.
