Description
2 years passed since I made the original Zero Suit Fox model. Right after making Rouge, I gathered the courage to re-make Fox. I say that because her eyes are large and cartoony, and while the original model used texture swaps for her eyelids, I wasn't sure how I would properly model and rig them for blinking actions and other expressions. Needless to say, I managed to pull it off.
The original release (and subsequent Zero Suit variants for other characters) used the Zero Suit design from Smash Wii U (which is based on Metroid Other M). For this remake, I went with the suit design from Brawl (which is based on Metriod Zero Mission). I thought it would be appropriate, since this was also the suit Acstlu used in his first illustrations of Zero Suit Fox.
Finally, while the original model was intended to be a 1:1 translation of her 2D artwork (that ended up looking quite uncanny), I took a different approach for her remake; an altered design more natural for 3D.
