Description This illustration reflects the adventures I've had through 2 years of Final Fantasy XIV (hence why the main character is my character in Hyperion server). So many things have already happened to this game's story, our character has met many friends and foes and also lost loved ones. May Final Fantasy XIV live long and Eorzea prosper.

This took way longer than I intended. Because I recorded the whole painting process I had to keep checking the recorder and I lost some parts due to Windows crashing, which I had to re-paint in order to record it properly. The speedpaint of this will be posted soon, I'll update here with the link to the video .

I also completely lost the time limit for the official transition art contest held by FFXIV, but since I don't live in NA I wasn't sure I was eligible for the prize (I live in South America)

Hmm I like the colour scheme and the structure of this art a lot! The lalas have the right detail and I wish that was applied to the humans too! I think that's about it?

If you mean the humans at the back they have less details on purpose because they are in the back and it was impossible to add more details, it just happens my main character is a lalafell, lol, if she was a human she would be a more detailed human. I was still figuring out some things on anatomy too so some figures do look strange here. Lalafells are actually the race that I spend less time working on because they have simpler design.

Yeah I was reffering to the human. No worries though, it still looked pretty good!

I'm not too familiar with FFXIV as I haven't played it myself, but this is a wonderful picture nonetheless! I love how it conveys your experience with the game, which is an amazing thing on itself! That said, I really like the details as well; the colouring and shading looks superb, and I like the idea of the characters coming out of the book? Great job!

Aside from my character (the one writing the journal) all of them are NPCs that play(ed) an important role so far in FFXIV. It was hard to pass the idea that 2 years has passed without spoiling anyone with the picture, hahaha. But since we do carry a journal (it's the menu section you go to see current quests and finished quests) it makes sense that our character should have registered all their adventures on said journal

It definitely makes sense, but it helps for the picture as well! It's kind of like the character is remembering all those npcs while looking at her records in the book? I don't think you've spoiled it, either way; there's a lot of context I'm missing so that makes it hard to spoil. Β

Nice if you like how weather, food is really good! But if you don't like hot weather is terrible, haha. Also, videogame support is somewhat lacking here in my country and contests and promotions from videogame companies usually do not reach us here in Brazil . Lots of things are imported so we end up paying a lot more due to taxes.

We have a bunch of economical and political issues right now as well, but that's way too complex to explain here ><.

Oh, not a hot weather fan. Give me a blizzard any day. XP

Heh, same here on the economic and political issues. Also too complex to explain. P:

Sadly, yes. XD Wherever you live, you're bound to find things to object to, I guess. It's human nature.
