Description For OC-training 's next task, Wardrobe!

Geoff would surely have waaay more clothes than these since his siblings absolutely spoil him with gifts, but these would be his most-worn getups!
And yeah, like I mentioned on the file itself, most of his clothes would definitely have fncy patterns all over them but I won't draw them here since I want these to work as my reference for the comic and I refuse to just make a complex pattern I copy-paste on his clothes like a texture. I know I'd get obsessed with keeping THAT consistent regardless of angle, clothing folds and perspective and EVERYTHING. So I just won't. If I ever do a realistic drawing of Geoff, I might design some patterns there but for the comic? Hard nope.
Even just that shirt with the red stitching will be a pain but that I'm determined to keep in just as a small way to show "hey, look at this guy, he's got fancier clothes than the others!"

Most of Geoff's clothes he got as gifts from his younger siblings who live in the large city of Ibrie. After all, most of the people in Whiskerstream village are far from wealthy and at best find the frivolous lifestyles of the nobility silly. That's why Geoff has a separate "semi-formal" outfit to wear at fancier events in Whiskerstream. Everyone would prolly giggle their heads off if they saw him wearing a large, puffy-sleeved coat and mile-wide pants... I think they're called slops? You see him wearing a pair here too but they're quite modest as they're mostly there to raise the hem of his coat up a bit! : p Some fanciness but not to the extremes the nobility might go to in Ibrie!

His usual clothes would indeed have some patterns on them, most likely embroidery, but the most eye-catching thing would probably be the vivid red colour of the overcoat. Geoff really likes the colour red so he often wears at least one major piece in that colour on his outfit!
Most of the people in Whiskerstream wear brown, pale yellow and the occasional muted green or blue, but rarely do they wear anything with a colour as strong as what Geoff wears!

As an additional note, in their world many people wear clothes that have been enchanted by illusionists to have all kinds of fancy colours and patterns but those clothes can be tricky to care for if you have no affinity for magic, as most of the people Whiskerstream don't. Illusion-dyed clothes are quite affordable in big cities like Ibrie which is how the newcomer, Eric, got his hands on his fancy-looking clothes. Meanwhile Geoff's clothes are all hand-dyed and hand-made. No magic there! Those kinds of clothes are VERY expensive, but a commoner would have trouble telling the two types apart unless they get to look really close and feel the fabric in their hands. Thanks to this, Geoff and Eric are both considered being equally fashionable and well-dressed in Whiskerstream, even if Eric's clothes are made to look that way with magic. : p

As for the sleepwear... Well, it's another example of Geoff's siblings' love for him! Geoff's sister got it for him after finding out Geoff was going to start sleeping in the reeve's office instead of their old family home and she wanted to make sure Geoff would be presentable EVEN if he'd have to meet someone needing help in the middle of the night! + a fashionable little coif as apparently in their time people were worried about the heat escaping through their heads when sleeping. Plus I bet it would prevent his hair from getting all tangled up overnight! These clothes are probably some of the most white clothes you'd see in Whiskerstream without them being enchanted.

-------

Oh, and on another note. I didn't have the time to start designing a FINAL design for his beast form but while Geoff does not own any human-sized armour, he does own some for his werebeast form. Mostly werebeast-size gambesons and some plate pieces. Though he rarely wears those either as it can get sweaty and otherwise in the way when running through the woods. just imagine wearing a thick gambeson and straps all over his body while trying to weave through thickets and jump over fallen trees and such. He mainly puts his armour on if he KNOWS he'll have to confront someone he knows to be able and willing to hurt another person. Mostly he just trusts his beast form's thick fur and hide as well as him being the local reeve for protection. Few are willing to attack the reeve, after all. Unless they're already being accused of murder... Yeah, if he'd be chasing a known murderer, he'd prolly put on as much armour as possible, heh.

Also, whenever he swaps between the two forms, he will wear whatever that new form was last wearing. meaning he could be carrying around two outfits at a time and will not just rip his clothes or end up naked whenever he switches forms. xD How does that work? Magic. When werebeasts transform, they take on a more spirit-like form similar to a Familiar. Kinda like swapping places with two bodies of which one is always sealed away.

And linked to that, a fun fact: Both animal Familiars and the beast forms or full-blood werebeasts have no internal organs. At all. They're full-on spirits in that form. Also no genitals or such so they don't need to worry about being indecent. BUT if you injure them MAJORLY, the injury will appear on the human form too while minor cuts and such won't. If you cut off a beast's arm, the blood that you will see will be the blood of the human form while a small cut would not bleed at all. The beast will only bleed if you manage to do enough damage to hurt the human body whose place the beast took.

Why am I telling you all this? Because I wanted to mention the fact Geoff keeps his human form hair long (And tied back which is why you can't see it here..) while keeping his beast form's hair short and dog-like. He feels the mane he COULD grow as a werebeast would take away from his werebeast form's cute dog looks! And since cutting one's hair doesn't count as an injury, cutting the beast form's hair doesn't affect his human form's hair. : p
