Today's Inktober prompt of this month is 'Swing', so i thought i would draw Mimi (Heidi) from Pop'n Music on her swing~
Mimi is a super bright and cheerful bunny, always wants to make Pop'n Music smile.
She's one of my favorite Pop'n Music characters and always loved her cheerful, bright and optimistic personality along
with her super adorable designs. This one in particular is Mimi's outfit for the TV Anime cover song, 'Oshiete' , a cover of the theme song
of the Heidi anime that's actually quite popular in Japan. I gotta say, i absolutely love this outfit of hers!
As a person who loves old Scandinavian, Swiss and German themed stuff, i knew this song and her outfit would become an absolute favorite of mine.
It also is one of my favorite Pop'n TV/anime covers ever made. I love the relaxing lyrics and music!
In her FEVER animation (Heidi outfit), she is seen to ride on a swing high up in the sky, high in the forest alpes, so i was actually inspired by her
FEVER win animation to draw her swinging on her swing high in the forest. The background is the forest of the alpes.
Overall, i'm actually super proud of how this turned out!
I love everything about it, from the perspective, dynamic pose to the cute and virant colors. In all honesty, i think
this might be one of my favorite drawings ever made! I mean, i always wanted to make a drawing like this but was always anxious
that if i ever tried out perspective and dynamic poses, it would turn awkward. But as my art has shown huge improvement over the 5 years, i think
i actually managed to do it very well. I also love the lineart, the coloring and the detailed subjects too!
I'm not sure whenever i should stick with colored pens through the whole Inktober, as i also want to draw Inktober with only pen as well
but since i noticed that the Inktober drawings comes out better with pens i think i should stick with them.
Overall, hope you enjoy the drawing!
