Once again this year, i'm celebrating the beloved popular Touhou character, Cirno's day which actually is today (9th September).
But unlike last year, i drew her traditionally.
There are a lot of things happening on September 9th, from a handful of Pop'n characters to a Cirno day. I picked Cirno's day first because i did her simple day drawing
at school during mini class break. Cirno is such a cutie and a precious snow angel, despite being a known baka.
I adore her blueish design, her silly yet cute personality and her in-game skills.
Cirno was in fact one of the very first Touhou Project characters i ever saw and grew to love, back when i was sorta into Touhou back in 2012-2013 somewhat.
I seriously love characters that can be a little silly yet can be so funny. >w<
This might seem unusual, but i actually colored this drawing of Cirno by using my school watercolor palette.
I wanted to try it out to see if it was any good. The colors fits on most characters but as of testing it doesn't work well with characters that have brown hair or
any darkish designs. Though as of testing them on my Cirno drawing, i saw that the red and the light blue one worked well, but for her hair i had to mix with blue and white to
get her hair color correctly. I apologize if the camera quality on this drawing is a bit poor.
I don't know how to take good pictures for my traditional drawings without using a scanner, and i have a habit of using filters on them so
they can look as good as my digital drawings, like this one for example. I hope to find a good solution for this soon. >.<
But anyways, i actually had fun drawing Cirno!
Like i said before, Touhou characters have adorable designs that were fun to draw and have great color choices. I hope to make more art from it soon..!
