I like this well,
Yet I don't think the head is very much in perspective. It seems it doesn't really flow with the... flow of direction.
Maybe the head could be a bit smaller or larger, or more close to the "camera".
I don't know, it just feels out of place somehow.
Longer neck, or placed farther down? Dunno.
Experiment with him and his head leaning in a bit, towards the camera?
And although his expression would fit for someone confident and detached, I think it should fit more with the action... Sorta like, in the CONTEXT of the action.
Also, his thumb (that is closest to the viewer), appears to be too folded over, like paper.
And I also think there is something about the movement of his hair...
I try to do his pose now, to better understand how my own hair would flow in such a movement, so I can make an informed critique, as I can.
Yet, I am not sure how or why he does this pose? I try to do it, but it doesn't really seem like this pose adds much power to the thrust of the sword... will you please tell me?

Let's see. He was a free hand drawing so I'm sure there are some problems about his proportion and perspective. Personally I think he looks alright at the first glance. But you're right, his head should be a little bigger since the eye view is from the top right of the picture. The neck is awkward, yes. And his thumb is probably wrong too.
I don't have any problem with his expression. He's not really fighting against anybody. It's more like practicing or probably showing-off his sword skill XD. So his features supposed to be cool, calm and collected.
For the hair, I would say it's the wind. It just seems natural to me that the sword go forth and the hair is push back. By the way I look at it, every thing moves in circle. I tried to imagine his hair flowing in other directions and couldn't quite settled with any of them. The problem here I believe is sometimes the pose could look really cool or nice in painting, but they don't really make sense in real life. But I'll make a mental note about logical anatomy and structure next time.
Thank you for your constructive opinons ^^. Please keep them coming!

Oh, not fighting with anybody... alright. ^^
Can you elaborate more on "By the way I look at it, every thing moves in circle."
That seems something interesting.
Yeah... I don't think I am very good with poses, so I'll try practicing making some cool ones. ^^ Perhaps acting them out will give me some direction, too..
It is nice that you say "constructive opinions" instead of the more common, "constructive criticisms". Maybe that is more accurate, and also more... pleasant. ^^
I will give you my opinions when I have one...
