The poll on the dA main page asks for our New Year's resolution and most deviants answer they want to focus more on their art. Hey, great, it's the same with me! I am finally going to do more art, see more art, learn more about art and really study it. And I am sooo much looking forward to that! What's all your forecasts for 2010?
I am also going to take more care of all kinds of arty internet-stuff - very important: deviantart! And what is certainly going to make this even more joyful is the fact that i got a 3 months subscription by :iconeintoern: ! I am so happy about that, thank you again at this point!
What it really makes it fun for me (besides gorgeous journal skins like this one, for example ) is the possibility to feature friends and other artists! Aww, it is really hard to chose who to promote on mz site here, but I'm simply going to start with the first ones that come into my mind and some random recent My Favourites On Sunday...

Queen of the trees

People who live in cities
are a very spiritual breed

They focus with an inner eye
Seeing beyond the crowds
They go about their business
Ignoring the smells

They manage to sleep
Blocking out the noise
They minimize possessions
Living in a small space

Most astonishing of all
They surmount the depression
Of the constant reminder
Of daily insignificance

I live in the trees
In a material, tactile place

The morning sun is gentle
And wakes us all with tender light
The birds are waking later now,
Occupied with fledglings

The mammals’ thoughts are
Eat, eat, keep eating!
The buck with eight points
Lifts his heavy head in greeting

This is the land where
I am queen of the trees
The crickets buzzed good morning
The katydids undulate good night
