wowie mate! Thanks a lot for including a link to my feature article! It means a lot!
Very nice photo, I liked very much how the colors contrast and the texture of the rocks. I'm curious so if you dont mind, I'd ask, where is this place?

oh, that was the bad news - then i'd prefer the Morning In The Country for the peace and beauty, no doubt

So beautiful, Ulrich. These soft tones and light remind me of that peaceful sunset two days ago...

Thank you, dear. A little bit of cheating in this case. A foggy morning. The white sky did not look very appealing, so I applied a gradation filter

good "cheating", dear these harmonious tones look pretty natural and beautiful

and I agree. The alternative would have been b+w - but this is done ever so often ....

What a neat composition - the placement of the horizon, the curving of the stones out to the signpost. Nice muted color too.

Textures of the stones Thanks, Richard.
It was a very muted day, colors are all true, beside the sky, of course, which was white.
So I only saw to options. B+W conversion or adding some toning to the sky - tried it this way for a change

I just see my foot print on the sand... ...The sand seems a bit dry, for some odd effect, after each step... ...Be careful 'cause sometime some "nasty" little fish is hidden under the sand...

EintoeRn In reply to altergromit [2011-04-06 20:11:40 +0000 UTC]

Mmmhhh - I cannot see any footsteps at all, maybe an effect from the dry sand ? Nasty little fish below the sand ? You never know, but mostly it is tasty not so little mussels

Of course you cannot see it, it was just one of my old memory!...
...Oh, don't take my little fish!

Oh, ok, sure!! .... ...But even your photo doesn't show footmarks, (photos are often a sort of magic) it reminds me of my footmarks in another place, another time... ...Of course I do footmarks!!
