When a guy is goin to marry the girl u like: burst through the door, take the girl, get the hell outta there, hide somwhere, tie her up tight but cute, take her to your house and have loooooooots of fun. (Dunno if the girl would like it tho)

There are generally 3-5 reasons to kidnap a bride. Some of these reasons can coincide with each other.Β
1. Ransom: The family of the bride and/or the groom himself would most likely do anything to get her back safe so they would pay for her.Β
2.Revenge for leverage (Probably on the groom or bride's father but for all purposes I will say groom.): To get an edge over a rival you kidnap his love and the may likely act on it. Maybe he has/did something earlier and the only way to make sure he comes is to kidnap his love. This could be a fight you want to have or to seek revenge on the rival man to man.
3.Pure revenge: You know you can't do much to the groom so you satisfy your revenge by hurting someone close to him. (This option could result in grave injury or death to the bride so I guess for most DID artist this isn't an option they would love much.)
4. Lust and obsession: Maybe you're the ex of the bride and you simply cannot let her marry someone who isn't you so you kidnap her to keep to your self. (This is the least comfortable simply due to this will lead to an sexual action which is definitely "not consensual".
4-2: A sub of the above is lust for the groom. A lady is in love with the groom and dislikes the bride/dislikes he chose someone else over her so she has her abducted and either "Dealt with her" (Kills her.) or stashed away where no one will find her so she can marry the groom. (That's the option if she doesn't have the heart to kill or seriously hurt the bride but doesn't want her in the way of her and the groom anymore. Perhaps she'll be in a basement or cabin some place where she will be fed, looked after, and kept alive in captivity. Probably by her or someone the jealous woman knows and trust to keep her. This is kind of a scary option for the kidnapped bride. Even more so if the person who is watching over the bride has or had developed "feelings" for our captive bride.)
