I love Waterhouse's painting as no other, but your interpretation is solidly moving. We know what The Lady does, from Tennyson's source. But I find images of the lady breathtaking because of how they illuminate *why* she does it: why she gets in the boat.
Your Lady has mystery and power wrapped around her, and the open landscape behind her makes this an image of optimistic questing rather than of suicidal escape. And her tapestry isn't representational, it's an abstract commentary (all she sees/weaves is love? Love is all we need?). And the enigmatic expression on her face... Lancelot had better look out, is all I'm saying.
Your link, though, is to the Yang Zhang interpretation of Waterhouse, not to the Waterhouse itself.

I have to comment that digital-art like this:
"And down the river's dim expanse
Like some bold seer in a trance,
Seeing all his own mischance--
With a glassy countenance
did she look to Camelot.
And at the closing of the day
She loosed the chain, and down she lay;
The broad stream bore her far away,
The Lady of Shalott."
I love this poem (and Loreena mckennitt' song)
and your version is really fantastic. The sky... omg the sky is wonderful.
