I admit it, I also bought one of the cheap chinese plastic masks in Venice...
But I didn't find this shape in papier mache with my sceptical parents breathing down my neck. The shape is called mezzaluna.

Since I don't like the bright gold I removed anything golden, sandpapered the mask and painted it black. It came out very shiny cause I only have shiny coating... Guess I have to get a matte one.

It's not very Venetian yet. I have to get more decorations. A lot more.
