This was created this summer, after digesting A LOT of creepy-pastas and SCPs (two of my fave Ytube pleasures). I’ve always been fascinated with masks and their uses, meaning & emotional interpretations throughout cultures and history. Two of my fave and, most certainly the most well know asides from Tut’s, is that of the comedy & tragedy masks. There is a certain SCP that is represented as the “comedy” mask and basically tasks on a hostile symbiotic relationship with any host it comes to contact with.

From there, I got the idea that to personify the masks themselves, making this them into deranged, humanoids, that hide behind what are essentially faceplates the of their more, twisted, sinister “comedic” & woefully “tragic” expressions. One who laughs uncontrollably and the other who sobs gut wrenchingly without end, respectively.

I tried to imagine them as characters in a macabre/horror anime.
