Description A commission I just finished recently, Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... though considering how many years it's been since the comic/cartoon came out, I think they should be Adult Mutant Ninja Turtles now...

Thank you ^^ Turtles used to be my favourite thing to draw when I was a kid so I've kinda studied a lot about how to draw their poses.

Ahhh TMNG. Reminds me of childhood. But I still think that Raph was the most badass of them all.

Oh, I agree, my favourite is always Raph... I'm just wondering what "G" is? ^o^ Naw, I'm just kidding, I know that's just a typo.

JonShot In reply to eisu [2010-05-12 21:25:33 +0000 UTC]

Typo! Again! I am cursed! It can't be any other way. Anyway Raph was the coolest. He was fighting with damn forks! (I know those were Sais but anyway)

Oh! one final thing (a) (yes I have many Q's )
What do you use to work on with the copics (I've tried canvas myself).

eisu In reply to peanutbuttermadness [2010-05-12 12:05:22 +0000 UTC]

I actually use card stocks or thick A4 size paper, like 80gsm at the lowest. Of course, card stocks or bristol are much preffered.

What did you use to make this fine piece of work? Really like the colouring

eisu In reply to peanutbuttermadness [2010-05-12 07:28:02 +0000 UTC]

I used copic markers for the colouring.

OOH! I wanted to learn how to make some nice pieces with markers! I used them a few times and have tried to find some decent tutorials, but failed. Do you know some good tutorials or have a few pointers on how to use the copics?

eisu In reply to peanutbuttermadness [2010-05-12 11:34:29 +0000 UTC]

I have no good tutorials, sorry, all I did to learn it was emulate some of my favourite artists that uses markers really well like Takehiko Inoue and the artist for Sentimental Gafitti. All I can say is that when you colour, try to follow the flow of the form, like stroke the marker to follow the shape on the faces and not just wildly stroke it here and there.

cool, very dynamic and a nice use of highlights.

eisu In reply to sosnw [2010-05-12 07:28:56 +0000 UTC]

Thanks ^^ The highlights are actually uncoloured areas. That's how I usually use my markers, leave some parts uncoloured for highlights.
