Description What?!  Is this me working on plushies again?  O_o  I think my hands really needed the break.  I'm still having to work around flare-ups, but it's definitely (past) time to get back in the swing of things.

Hawkeye!  Poor fellow has been lying around half-finished for far too long.  His vest took quite a bit of tweaking and patterning to get all the layers right.  It was actually way more work than the bow and quiver, which I thought would be the tricky part.  I love the bow, that's totally my favorite part.

12" tall, mainly fleece with pleather accents, face and details were hand-painted with various fabric paints (aside from the "zipper," which was stitched.)  Bow and quiver were made from craft foam sheets, arrows were bamboo skewer sticks.

Amazing work, as always! I'm glad your hands are doing at least a little better! With as much detail and hard work you pour into your projects, it's a wonder your hands don't up and leave!

I shall miss little Hawkeye.  I perched him appropriately on my highest shelf so he can keep an eye on things.

Very nice! The fleece pleather texture contrast is really great for showing the different details in the same color, I love how you did that, he looks so fancy! And yeah, the bow is awesome! Is it pretty rigid then? o.o

Thanks!  His outfit is a lot of black but a lot of different materials, it took a lot of planning and staring at pictures to figure it all out, lol.  The bow isn't terribly rigid, it's heat-shaped to hold that curve.  I'm sad I couldn't string it very tight, but it still looks good.

I agree, the look is great! Heat shaped, huh? Sounds difficult to do without melting the foam. o.o!

Something I learned from lurking on the cosplay.com forums. ;D  It's actually really easy!  You can hold it over a stove eye (not too close obviously) until it goes all floppy, then just hold it in the shape you want until it cools a little.  Might be able to do it with a hairdryer if it's hot enough, I haven't tried.
