I really wanted to participate with the Day of the Deviant "The World Inside Your Mind" contest, because:
1) It's always nice to have an opportunity to draw;
2) This idea I had for a while seemed perfect for the prompt;
3) I want that fun badge to add to my collection!

I wasn't able to start my drawing sooner so I began only yesterday and now I'm running out of time.
I decided to upload this first draft, because:
1) There's no way I can finish this on time but I want to share this with you anyway
2) Afterall, there's no chance that I win this competition anyway, so why not join just for the fun of it.
3) At least I got the badge!

Edit: Thank you for making my fantasy world a semi-finalist!
I had this idea for a while of drawing a kind of self portrait with my imagination spilling out of me into the world and becoming part of reality, beyond my pencils and paper.
This contest pushed me to actually draw it and this is now the cherry on top.

Another edit, because:
1) I won the 1st Prize and I have never been so shocked, surprised and elated!
2) Even though someone is not the most skilled, talented, professional or popular compared to other artists here on DeviantArt, this proves that we all can have a chance in a competition, digital or traditional.
3) I do love that badge!
