Description My first attempt at Inktober. I actually did two drawings today since I missed yesterday, but this one is meant to be my entry for Oct. 1.

A quickly scribbled scene from the Lord of the Rings, where Éowyn faces off against the Witch-King of Angmar. Despite being messy as hell, I'm somewhat happy with how this turned out. It probably needs a bit "more", but I think if I tried to add to it it would end up overdone.

It was actually quickly scribbled. I think, minus the pencil sketch, it took...maybe 20-25 minutes to ink? The pencil sketch took longer because I couldn't decide on how I wanted the characters posed.

Haha I totally get the pencil thing. I'm doing that for all mine as there's just not much time to sit down to ink stuff. Plus, I like doing pencil first because then you can make a mistake and fix it, not try to make a "happy tree accident." lol

I'm too much of a perfectionist to do any sort of inking without a decent base first. If I tried to do straight ink I'd go through a dozen sketchbook pages before managing anything decent. Then I'd end up losing my temper.

Haha that is me all the way! And hey, the said penciling first isn't cheating. I totally respect people who can ink alone, but this girl needs to sketch it out first.
