Description
This is one of a four-part series entitled Queens of the Elements. This is the queen of air (duh). I have the others on the way. As you know, it is based on Avatar: the Last Airbender. I don't think that the Air Nomads ever had a Queen but I just thought it would be fun to do. I also started this series before I saw the second half of the first season. Meh, oh well. I guess she could be considered an OC but sadly I do not have a history for her. Hm... if I can think of one, I will be sure to write it here.
Oh, and why the weird headdress thing. Because I like it! I know it doesn't really fit, but I like it!
The queen is drawn in prismacolors and the background was done in Corel Painter 8. Some touchups were done in Photoshop.

hey why not? its cool...maybe there was two girl air nomads and two man air nomads...we dont know. and the feathers work perfectly because birds fly and so can the airbenders somewhat...so that can be your excuse. I LOVE IT!!!

Nice! Good to see something slightly different from your usual stuff. It's refershing! You've used some lovely soft tones, it's got a very airy feel to it. My only suggestion would be to extend the composition, as add a bit more space above the figure to give it a sense of freedom.. it just looks a tad claustrophobic. Anyway great stuff as always, keep em coming!

Nah, and my hair isn't quite strawberry. It does have a lot of brown in it too... and some blonde. Out in the sun, it looks like gold. ^_^
