Though I think there's too much detail in your collar, focus can be tricky for self portraits, but I think if you want the fuzzy face look I'd maybe maybe not take the focus to the other side of the fence, so that the face is more than the collar, that, or you could just focus on the face, or use a cooler shirt

Yeah, getting the focus right was a definite bitch though, had one hell of a time trying to get a plane of focus that worked. In the end this was the best of the bunch though, although having a less prominent shirt collar would have worked better

I like the darkness of the piece and the nice highlights on the shirt. A bit different than the usual portrait, which imo is a good thing.
