Рек Владыка Ада ужасный: «Не доблестный ли Хурин
стальнорукий, стойкий, предстал предо мною
схвачен живым, как водится с трусами?
Он знает меня, иль надо сказать,
какова узника участь в адских чертогах —
боль неизбывная, балрогов пытка?»
На то Хурин ответил, Хитлума вождь —
его очи сияющие алым окрасил
гнева огонь: «О гибель несущий!
Свободен от страха, бился я долго с тобой
и ныне не боюсь ни тебя, неприятель Богов,
ни рабов твоих демонов, бесов иль привидений!»
Волосы влажные, что закрывали лицо, —
темные, спутанные — он откинул за плечи
и взор погрузил в глаза злодея:
с той страшной поры посмотреть в те очи
не имел смертный мощи душевной.
И во мрачной мгле разуменье Хурина
под взором бездонным сгинуло и померкло,
но не поддали́сь ни его сердце, ни непреклонная гордость.

I have in plans to come back for The Children of Hurin, and one piece with Hurin is in sketch now, but not exactly like this depiction, I have in plans to make a color version of Turin with helmet

Excellent news! Your depictions of Túrin (and Nïenor as well) are also amongst my absolute favourites not just from your gallery but from all Tolkien-based illustrations, and that you plan this makes me happy. I've not found many depictions of him that I like, only two or so.

I must say that this is a wonderful image in it's own right, but I like it even more because it adds additional depth to the work of another artist - to be precise 'Day shall come again' by Mr Abe Papakhian, made even better because THIS is the face of a man who hunts trolls the way other men hunt bears - since I enjoy the idea that Middle Earth is a mosaic, rather than a single stencilled image, with the work of other hands and other minds helping artists enrich one another's work, to the immeasurable benefit of the setting and those who admire it, along with all the pretty pictures!
