I really love the Crimson Guard! The trooper is a close second. Baroness and Destro work well. For Cobra Commander, I think you should have gone for a helmet. The combination of cowl and cap seems a bit off. Same with stormshadow: nice WWII Japanses uniform, but a katana instead of sai, and not wearing the samurai face mask might have been better.
Still, that being said, I love, love, love the concept!

I'm not so sure about a cartoon, perhaps a direct to video movie, but a comic book would be awesome (Hope IDW reads thisΒ Β )

I've never been a huge comic book person. (Stopped reading them when I was 11) But this....oh hell yes...in whatever format it is in. Paperback OR digital (I'd prefer digital. Easier to carry, harder to lose, per se)

That my friend it's where all this began. I've always considered World War II as one of the must interesting points of history, and i remember i was very exited when Dreamwave announced that mini series. The truth is a was really disappointed with the final product. Even thou i consider Jae Lee's art absolutely incredible, it was ill suited for the series, it was to dark and i felt there was no real research for the period visuals, there're even modern assault rifles at somo panels. This could have been an awesome series visually speaking, i mean it's no coincidence, Cobra a WWII German army are so alike, they share a similar aesthetics with powerful iconography, i dare to say that the later was the template for the first one. So only Cobra vaguely resembled the period, the Joes were uninspired, and the Transformes were i missed opportunity, seeing a Corsair P 40, a Bradley Tank, a Tiger or a Messerschmith transforming into one of our favorite characters would have been a blast. So i guess the idea lurked in the back of my brain for several years until this year when i decided to do something i would have loved to see back them with my limited abilities. Sadly there would be no period themed Transformers but i hope you'll get to see 6 Joes before the year ends
