As she stood there in front of her throne in full attire she snobbishly uttered "Let them eat cake".Little did she know she would be gobbling down all the bread she could find.

thank you... you might be correct, she might of not actually said those words. but the image that was portrayed until this modern day was that Marie was a snob, and that she suggested if people couldnt find bread they should eat cake,with that image in our minds we tried to reinvent this concept with a touch of modern day as you can read the little passage there is a sense of irony. This is not a one on one interpretation of the real Marie.
