I love the many textures in this piece -- clouds, mountain, dragon, more dragon, dragon, hair, etc etc.
I especially like the dragon's horns, how they're so very real.
If I must summon some critique, I'd say that it looks the slightest bit flat in places. Her arm was the first thing that struck me.
No scales on the dragon's face?

Yer, I see what you're getting at. I had real problems with this piece, since on my comp its so much brighter and you can see all the HUGE amount of detail in my dragon (there are scales on his face) but unfortunately when I uploaded it to DA, the brightness faded to a dull black lol (his scales also have red tints and scorings etc but it all got lost *sulks* I really do want to try and fix this, but as you can imagine, I would pay a lot of money to get a couple of hours added to the day

I just don't see how on earth you did that. I am not now or ever will be in your league. I just don't have that type of artistic talent in me. I am a poet and songwriter but I think in this medium I simply have an "eye". You my dear are amazing and I mean that with all of my heart. You are born to do this. That truly was the most incredible piece I've seen. Even the talons were perfection and so awesome to look at. I know I am rambling but it was just so wonderful that I think you should be told.

Lots of time spent fiddling with tiny details, lots of layers in photoshop, a good idea of what you want the final piece to look like, ideas of colour schemes, and extreme use of the airbrush tool and the blend tools. ^-^
I'd recommend going to take a look at all the great tutorials for photoshop in the resourses section of DA
