A worthy video of Data & Spot clips: [link]

Done in Photoshop. Base by DHF. July 10, 2011.

I recently discovered how amazing Star Trek TNG is! I never thought I'd like it as much as the original. Data is by far my favorite character. I mean, he plays violin and writes poetry about his cat. Yeah. And besides that, he's adorable. So this is a little tribute to him.

The base editing was horrendous, but it turned out nicely in the end. And that yellow color! *faint* Spot turned out a bit tiny.

You know...I wonder how many Star Trek spin-offs have been made. Also, I cannot FOR THE LIFE OF ME do the finger thing.

Lovely job dolling as usual. Love the cat.

Thankee!

Well, there's the original, the next generation, deep space nine, voyager, and enterprise series, along with I don't know how many animated series. XD Trek has definitely lived long and prospered.

Thank you very much! I've only seen one DS9 episode [Trials and Tribble-ations, brilliant!], but I hope to see more of them in the future. :3

You know who to credit for Star Trek, right? Right?

Anyway, lovely. I once had the poem memorised. But I forgot. I think you id a very good job on the uniform, colour and all. Spot may be a bit small, but spot was once a kitten... And male... Then female... Then longer haired... Was it really a cat...?

Well, Roddenberry of course, but doesn't Paramount own it now?

Thank you very much, and for ing! All I know is felis catus haha. They should have made a better effort with Spot. I mean, really? Different breeds and genders? Perhaps it was some strange life form pretending to be a cat. o.o

DATA!!!! Omgosh...this is possibly the first and only Data doll I may have ever seen, and you did such a good job on him!! It looks just like him. How can you not like Data? I love his cat Spot, I remember when I was a kid thinking how funny it was that an android would have a pet cat. XD

Thank you very much! Yeah, I searched the doll category and there was ... maybe one? But it wasn't really a doll-doll. *steps off elitist soap box* Anyway, he's so awesome!!! I just want to huggle him! And perhaps some other things...

LOL! You should do a series of these characters, I'd love to see you do one of Geordi, maybe even one of Deanna Troi...Gah, you have me wishing I had the series on DVD...I'd have a Star Trek TNG marathon. It's such a pity that the DVDs are so darned expensive. If it weren't for the high price, I'd have all the Star Trek series in my collection...Yeah, I'm such a big nerd when it comes to Star Trek.

That's an interesting challenge. I think I'll take it on. Geordi can double as my ethnic dolling month doll, though I did have an idea... And I really wish I had the DVDs, but am turned off by the price as well! I already have the remastered TOS seasons. It's nice though because BBC America plays reruns of the TNG episodes during the week. XD It's ok, I'm a fellow nerd. I spent over 12 hours watching Trek a couple Fridays ago because there was a marathon on TV, and the other day I timed it so I could watch the fourth movie and then the TNG episode right in a row. XD

I look forward to seeing what kind of dolls you come up with! I bet they'll turn out fab.

Yeah, I really feel that the Star Trek DVDs are wayy overpriced, you'd think that with the economy being so bad, and people being more financially savvy, the prices would go down to something more reasonable. But meh, I suppose I'll have to make due with the reruns, though they're on TV at the oddest times of the night, usually when I'm asleep. XD

I think a lot of DVD series are overpriced, but then again... you're getting a lot for what you're paying for. Do you have BBC America? It comes on at 1 PM here, pretty reasonable. I think another channel has them at 9 PM but I forget which one.

DulcetFancy In reply to elavoria [2011-07-11 04:06:18 +0000 UTC]

Are you talking about cable? I believe BBC America is only a cable network, which I sadly don't have. (I love the BBC) So, I guess my answer is no. It's a pity though, I'd love to have cable, but we can't really afford it right now. Pooh!

elavoria In reply to DulcetFancy [2011-07-11 04:12:02 +0000 UTC]

That one's cable, right, but the other one isn't - here it's channel 6, KDOC that has it on at 9 PM.

And I forgot about Worf! *dies thinking about the base edit*

He does have his moments XD...but to me he is like a big teddy bear. Grumpy on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside.
