Edit: won third place, yay!

Done in Photoshop. Base by Haven of Silindor [hand position edited by me]. Finished November 14, 2010.

She's been finished for quite some time now except for the background, which I did mostly to-day. I'm really happpy with how she turned out! I love the gold embroidery on her dress. The dress itself seems lacking, but I'm not sure what it is.

Your interpretation of the original art work is amazing along with the way you edited the base.The dress really stands out to me.I love how you illustrated the folds and wrinkles within it.They have a realistic feeling to them.The gold portion of the dress has to be my favorite...especially the designs that you included.Even the hair and the little flowers stand out.The highlights are lovely but do not take away attention from the darker shades in the overall art piece.Good work with the background too.It's interesting but does not take away from the girl in the foreground[hope that's the correct term].I couldn't resist commenting on this.8D

Aww, thank you so much! I'm glad you like it so much, especially that you think it's balanced - I've been told that the background is too soft/Ophelia stands out too much. [and yes, foreground is the correct word] I tried really hard to make it detailed and realistic. :3 Thanks for your comment!

Ooh, Ela this turned out so beautiful! I'm so proud of you! I love how you did her dress, the folds are so scrumptious. And that background, you did a wonderful job capturing the background. I love how you did the tree and the bridge behind her. The bridge is my favorite part.
