Another KasaDem! OTP
For the Daily Life-contest at . Yep, they do this on a regular basis, going out and being fabulous is their kind of thing
Always has been, always will be.Since most people won't know about them here's some little background:
Demetri is a member of the Whaletail Triad (a triad I made up containing benders and non-benders) and a former waterbender, until Amon got him and the rest of his folks, including Kasa's dad. Btw the triad still exists, they focus more on weapons and technology now and are probably even stronger than before.
Kasa is a waterbender (not a good one!), works in a candyshop and is the biggest flirt in Republic City. Her and Dem started out as the biggest flirty-bromance-party-buddies but eventually got closer. Now they're engaged
I'm not too sure how old they are exactly in this picture since their story takes place over a long time but he's six years older than her. While she's 100% watertribe he had a mother from the earthkingdom (non-bender), his father is unknown but he can only be a waterbender.
There's so much to tell about them but that would take too long now ^^
I know I should be doing other stuff but it's so hard to resist X_X
This is some time after Kasa comes back from the Northern Watertribe, I took some freedoms with the designs again. I wanted them to look rich and royal, yet very "Republic City" in Dem's case and "Watertribe" in Kasa's.
(They are not royalty at all though, just well earning and clever)
Also tried a whole new approach to lineart to A) work faster and B) make it look more cartoony/anime.
There are some things I'm not happy with but I love the chemistry between them!

But none the less, I like it.
Dem is dressed in his high-class duds I see. I really like the jacket.
Kasa's head looks a little to small for her face, but I think that about most pictures so maybe it's just me OTL
But also I like how mature Kasa's body was drawn, aside from being gorgeous eye-candy it feels very realistic, and well, human.
Not a fan of the shading, but from reading other comments I imagine exam preparation is much more important than an extra tint of some color. Makes me feel bad for bringing it up,
especially when the rest is so beautiful, but hey, I'm not one to erase so yeah
Also, I see we have another rendition of Dem here. You can't behind the excuse of him being older with me, I know your secrets!

I know you don't like my lack of shading but I can't take that into consideration. I draw what I like and how I want. Using flat clolours is a stylistic device I chose for a reason.

Dude...I know right. I have an exam tomorrow. It sucks. I was in summer school all summer. Friday is when I get my grade for my class. The sad part was, I made this choice willingly (but hey, I want to get out of college as fast as I can so I guess that's my silver lining XD)
Then I was supposed to have at least a week and half for summer freedom. But nope.
I am taking 1elective online class for my major from another community college like in four days from now (It's cheaper than the university ) and I start the university on the 25th where I will be taking 5 classes there. So this semester I shall be taking 6 classes again. XD
Ugh. It sucks! *high fives* I basically didn't have a summer vacation but oh well.

Welcome to my life. I have four exams in august (four days in a row and one of them my bithday) and one in september. This week monday I had one too.
And best thing about them is that they're not the kind where you just learn for a few weeks and then you're prepared, noooo you have to learn for months to be able to barely make it. They purposely set traps in the questions and like to ask stuff that you CAN NOT know unless you read all the scientific newspapers which is plain impossible!
I'd like to be finished soon too but it's not worth getting sick from stress. I have a job and earn my rent, so there's no need to rush and if it takes longer than so be it. The only person I'm accountable for is myself and I don't want to look back on this time and have done nothing but learning. I like going out with my friends and I don't want to miss that.

Exactly dude. Spot on. It's like bad enough you have the whole summer is ruined since you have take a summer class. D: But then you get a grip load of assignments and tests that revolve around 5 months worth of studying crammed into a week's worth. DX
Totally. It's always important to balance things out. That happened to me once. Last year in December, I was going crazy for finals. I had a statistics and we started off with 60 students in August that class and by December there was like 20 people that were still in class. 40 students dropped the class because it was too hard. I studied so hard for that test but because I was too scared of that test, I couldn't sleep for four days straight. My eyes were covered in purple like bruises, had a fever, and I was beyond pale. I know I freaked out alot of people in my class because they thought something really bad happen to me. XD I couldn't sleep or think but the test. I found out that only 5 people out of originally 60 people passed the class. I was one of the lucky 5. Phew. I remember after I found that out, I fell asleep the moment I got home. XD

A friend of mine even was in hospital, her immune-system crashed and she had infections all over, it was really bad. I don't want that to happen to me.
You were not "lucky". You worked hard and deserved passing the test.

Aww thank you. But I couldn't believe I was the one of the five. Everyone in our college was surprised about 55 people dropped out and or failed the class.
