Actually, Yoshi is older than Mario and Luigi because when they were babies, Yoshi already was an adult. This is shown in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's island.

actually that's not the same Yoshi(s)! I have the Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island remake for the Gameboy Advance and on the box it says that it's dwarf Yoshi's there is on Yoshi's IslandΒ which also explains why baby Mario looks so big comparred to all the Dwarf Yoshis!
