This is Nick (or Nicholas) McCarthy, the great guitarist of Franz Ferdinand!I'm so in love with Franz Ferdinand!
To say 'thank you' I made Alex, Nick, Paul and Bob portraits
On 27 June, I went to see them at Tivoli, Utrecht (The Netherlands). The gig was absolutely brilliant! Superfantastisch! After a long wait I found Nick and gave him the drawings! I forgot to put my name or email on the drawings, but I hope they liked them! (not that I expected to get a reply or anything of course)

This is totally gorgeous. I love the boldness of the shading, the light on his hair and the way you've rendered his jacket.
I keep coming back to this-and your other work- for motivation, as an example of how I'd like to be able to draw one day- maybe even in a few years' time. And it's good to see a bit of Franz Ferdinand love, too.

I like Franz Ferdinand too, though I like the Kinks more... and they are quite Kinks influenced, as Alex Kapranos has admitted.
That being said, I think Nick looks like Mick Avory from the Kinks with shorter hair
