*hugs them all* Precious little star babbu’s. They need to be protected and helped along their journies, fulfilling their dreams and granting others wishes along the way. 

. . . And as it stands, each of them have someone or multiple someone’s, depending, who protect them. Usually a partner, an opposite and foil to the Star child.

Steven has the Crystal Gems of course, but his partner is Connie. The two have been friends for awhile, with hints of something more later down the line.

Mabel has her twin brother Dipper, the two of after one another. She helps her bro-bro to see the fun in everyday life and keep from being so uptight.

Star has her best buddy Marco, who he didn’t have much of a choice to help but grew quite fond of her.

Wander has Sylvia, a rough-and-tough brawler with more strength than she knows, and has learned from her fuzzy orange comrade the value of compassion and kind words.
