I can draw two dimensional pretty decently ill admit...but three dimensional im totally lost. Any advice? I really wanna draw Megamind but every time I tryΒ he ends up wrong. The only three dimensional thing I've accomplished in drawing is a log cabin. By the way I looked at a lot of your stuff as a guest on this website and seeing your drawings made me join.

Sorry for the late reply. Far too often I'm extremely busy, so from time to time I just sit down and reply to all the messages and replies.
Do you mean perspective, or just this kind of "3 dimensional look"?
In case you want some help for drawing perspective, I can recommend Griddle:Β technographer.com/projects/griβ¦
Here you can create a Grid, which you can use as guidelines for a drawing.

Just three dimensional. Perspective just isn't my thing. I wasn't interested in it. I'm in college and working part time in the morning so I know what you mean by busy. Just curious what program are you using to draw your other pictures?

He always looks so cartoony when I try and draw him. I mean, sometimes that's fine, great even, if that's your style.

But I just end up getting frustrated.

And yes, it is just a different style. My pictures might look more realistic, bu it also takes a really long time to finish such a picture. I could never draw a comic in that quality.
You just have to draw to get better. Always finish a picture, even if you don't like it in the end. If you get frustrated and stop because it doesn't look like the image in your head, you won't learn as much from it.
And try not to get frustrated, no one is born as a master. Last week I had to go find the old drawings I made as a child, and show my son, because he was so frustrated about a drawing. When he saw that my drawings were not any better than his when I was his age, he became calm again and finished the picture.
It's a very slow process, but you WILL get better.

I'm going to keep practicing, although perhaps not right away. I've been in a bit of a fan fiction mood lately. Though, I keep getting ideas for a comic I want to draw, so perhaps I'll take another shot at it later.
