He hasn't managed to catch that Roadrunner and eat him yet (although he's come close). Give this coyote some props! He deserves it! It can't be easy when you have to deal with crappy Acme products. I'm surprised he hasn't sued yet!I love Wile E. Coyote! He's one cool mofo! Next to Pepe Le Pew, he has to be my favorite Looney Tune. Both of them rock! I've been dying to do a fanart of Wile E. Coyote for some time! Enjoy. I spent about 4 hours sketching then coloring this piece. The desert picture in the background, which is the setting the Wile E. Coyote/Roadrunner cartoons takes place, is an actual picture I took myself of the Manzano Mountain range here in my home state of New Mexico. I took it one crisp winter day last year. There's been debate on what state it takes place in. A lot of people say New Mexico, and I've heard parts of Texas. But our state has the scenery best suited for catching a roadrunner. Not to mention it's our state bird!
I also had in mind when I did this. Since he also is a fan of the desert dweller.

I would assume that once again poor Wiley has missed his intended target aka the Roadrunner and is headed at supersonic speeds towards a rather nasty crash landing hence the "Why Me?" sigh. Β Yes, Acme is a terrible company and product but it wasn't them that got the idea to take a ride on a rocket.. Β Poor Silly Wiley...

This was my grandfather's favorite cartoon, perhaps aside from Speedy Gonzales. We used to watch it together all the time. My grandfather was always tinkering with things and making all funny sorts of contraptions. Thanks for bringing back those memories.
