Description Finally, a real Saturday where I can loaf about and do anything without regret.
To celebrate, I decided to paint the "Black Pearl" from "Pirates of the Carribean", a truly stunning ship.

Isn't she beautiful?

Sorry about the wierd rigging; my eyes had gotten lost after fifteen minutes or so of drawing...

Oh, it is soooo good, such a beautiful balance of positive and negative space, good use of colour and even if the rigging is a bit out there it makes it expressive, making you all the better an artist because you turn your mistakes into triumphs. It is an admirable piece, certainly sets quite a benchmark....struggling to comprehend, it's just pure quality

Thank you so much. Now that you mention it, the rigging is a bit off. It's true too that I like turning my mistakes into quirky artistic touches, but I've never known they were triumphant! Often I just desperately paint or ink over something when it goes wrong. Not very glamorous! =/

Very nice! All that rigging would have scared me off straightaway, but you've done fabulously with it.

how can you paint something so NICE out of random?! everything i do has to dwell in my head for ages before i have the confidence to put it on paper xD.

wow i'm scrolling up to look again, and it looks even more amazing than before O_O.

Hahaa thank you!
The chances of me drawing something "good", out of random, are about 1 in a kabillion... so you can say I got lucky xP

I really agree with "time" being a factor, though. It's nice to mull over all the possibilities you can have for your art!
