This is fabulous!  I have a McCall's pattern which I use make Renaissance bustiers in several styles and this is on one of them. I created my own ribbons to make the sleeves, as well, but I used grosgrain and embroidered ribbon. I hand-beaded the ribbons with pearls for that extra punch of decoration. I really like what you've done here, though! It's really awesome!

thank you very much. I really wanna do some more renaissance sleeves, because there are so many different variations of them and tay are all so beautiful.
actually it isn't finished yet. I planned to embellish the middle part with beetle wings as well, I just don't have the time

You're welcome! I totally understand about the time issue. And these kinds of projects are not friendly to the schedule. I know! We used to be involved more with the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) and I made all kinds of simple costumes for that. But even the simple ones need the right embellishment. I also made my sister's wedding dress from a Renaissance pattern. I will never forget handling all that heavy fabric in my lap and trying not to get it dirty! I was a SAHM then. It was much easier to complete huge projects. I hope you'll be able to finish it soon and I'd love to hear more about how you got the beetle wings and how they are affixed to the garment. I've never seen that before!
