Hey there! From a fellow StarTropics fan to another, I just wanted to point out that this is not true.
I am the creator of the image, and as much as I would have loved for Mike to have been "planned for Brawl" (seriously, that would put him on a whole higher pedestal in terms of importance) I don't want to be the cause of false hope./
This is my updated version to it, where I make it less obvious that it's a mish mash of Brawl character renders, and more akin to his Zoda's Revenge look.

Oh sorry, I corrected it, but still would be nice to have Nintendo characters in Super Smash Bros to represent characters in the countries they were developed in, to show a little multicultural diversity
E.g.
Marth, Ness, Pikachu and etc represent Japan
Little Mac and etc represent America
And if Mike Jones and other European Nintendo character gets in they will represent Europe

He was scrapped by Nintendo of Japan because StarTropics was never released in Japan. I find that a bullcrap excuse, mainly because we had Lucas from Mother 3(a Japan exclusive, not counting the fan-translation), and Marth and Roy from Melee, which their game was exclusive to Japan during that time. *sigh* Screw you, Japan for getting everything!
