Portfoilio 2010-showed to Disney when they arrived here for their Tangled-behind the scenes promo and the International Animation Festival in Ottawa.Alright so this is the SPHINX herself- the coloured is obviously the final image, but I went back (specifically for the portfolio) and fixed her up- made her wings bigger and more lion-y muscles.
The sketches around it, are all the ideas that lead up her design- I pretty much had the IDEA when I created her. She was inspired from Medusa from Soul Eater for course

I love this, it so very well fits the disney style. I do hope someday the sue somethign similar to Aladdin or perhaps even Herculues (going for the mythology creature series wise)
I'm currently trying to do something similar to a Sphinx but instead of hind legs of a lion it has a large fish tail like the Greek Capricorn.

Very cool concept! I like how you went ahead and used a more gryphon-taur like design
Quite unique, especially since it doesn't completely follow the traditional sphinx design
