Short comic-strip I created to celebrate my country's Centenary (100 years since Transylvania united with the Kingdom of Romania in 1918 after one thousand years of foreign occupation and oppression). The moment I chose to illustrate is the one when the Transylvanian delegation offers the King the act of Union signed by 1228 official delegates.

TITLE: “We have been waiting for you for 1000 years!”

TEXT: [Man reading to crowd] “The National Gathering of all Romanians in Transylvania, Banat and the Hungarian Lands… gathered through their legal representatives at Alba-Iulia on November 1st/December 1st 1918… hereby decree the union of all those Romanians and the lands that they inhabit with Romania!”
[Last panel] Crowd of cheering people: “Hurrah! Welcome!”
