...my first pastel portrait 
I really hate how this looks on the screen I like it a lot better in real life even though I know it's far from perfect...
...well don't tell me bout all the mistakes I can see them myself
. Look at me as a newbie

material: Faber Castell pastell pencils and other pastells, kneaded eraser +brushes, tortillions etc to blend

Who could criticize this?!
For a pastel, first for after a hundred, this is very fine.
You have the thing I think only females can do--show the upper teeth even when not smiling. And not smiling is a value too. There's happiness in your not-smiling girl.

P.S. And I can see how much better in real life your pastel is. Pastels are the hardest to photograph or scan to show.

just goes to show that your graphite technique has put you in good stead for other mediums...I think you've done an excellent job on this, your colours are wonderful, especially where you've picked them out in the bubble surfaces....gawd, imagine what you're going to be like with a bit of practice!!

I'm sure u would do better with ur next one ^^ and it's nice to see something different ^^ and not just pencils like what me and many other ppl only use, LOL..

Oh was seh ich da, Du hast die Bleistifte mal auf die Seite gelegt! Super! Für das erste Pastell sieht es super aus! Gefält mir gut, auch wenn die Ähnlichkeit nicht so da ist wie bei den Bleistiftzeichnungen, aber ich bin sicher das wird noch!
Hoffe Du machst nun öfters was farbiges!
Auf welchem Papier hast Du gezeichnert? Auf dem Boesner Papier?

ja das selbe Papier wie immer. Ich hab schon ne Idee für das nächste Pastell, da will ich auf jeden Fall nicht wieder so unter Platzmangel leiden, wie hierbei

Probier doch bei Pastel mal etwas rauhes Papier, da werden die Pastellzeichnungen viel besser als auf glattem, weil die Kreide besser haften bleibt. Kannst ja mal einen Bogen bei Boesner holen und vielleicht etwas farbiges, dann wirkt es auch anders.
Dann vollende mal Deine Grazie, bin gespannt wer es ist.

Ja die Sache ist die ich bin so unheimlich süchtig nach der smooth-heit, mir fällt grad kein passender deutscher Ausdruck ein, aber Du weißt ja auch so was ich meine 
Aber wenn ich das nächste Mal zum Boesi fahr kann ich ja trotzdem mal nen Bogen Rauheres mitnehmen

Ich mag ja auch weiche Übergänge. Ich trag erst mit nem Stift die Farbe auf und wische dann mit einem Wischer oder Kosmetiktuch drüber.

hmmm also ich hab mir grad mal Deine Keira angeschaut... bei Dir kommt das ganze wirklich weicher rüber bzw smoother

Mist das ist jetzt doof ich hatte schon ne Idee für mein nächstes Pastell, das wollt ich aber auf weißem Hintergrund machen... Na dann muss ich wohl doch in Bälde mal wieder zum Boesi

Je rauher das Papier ist, desto mehr schichten kannst Du machen und man kann auch mal nachbessern, weil das dann geht, bei glattem Papier geht das gar nicht, weil irgendwann keine Farbe mehr am Papier bleibt. Du kannst ja auch weißes Papier nehmen, muß ja nicht bunt sein, nur rauh ist bei Pastell besser.
