Description
Raistlin Majere, the dark mage from the Dragonlance Universe by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.This portrait is a detail of a bigger and more detailed illustration actually work in progress. However, the detail about Raistlin's face needed some re-drawing in bigger scale, and so there it is, a pencil 20x30 cm on paper, that later received some digital coloring by PS.
This is not yet finished.

the hair is great, active, flowing. i always envisioned it longer, myself. 😉

I've never seen a man with that short a chin - that short a distance from the mouth to the bottom of the jaw; even for a woman, that's close enough you'd rarely see it unless their mouth was toothless.
I'm guessing you have trouble with fans assuming your male faces are female; if so, that's why.
