Description Who am I
But a pile of thoughts and
Feelings served on golden plates

Who am I
But the darkness that surrounds me
And the light that penetrates it

Who am I
But a figure ducked in corner
Enveloped by melting fingers

I cry and shout
But nobody can hear me
I try to move
But space curls around me

Who am I
Deep inside underneath the clothes
Underneath the skin and flesh

Who am I
The being that exists
For itself and by itself

I cry and shout
And smile upon the sounds
I try to move
And split myself to pieces

And there is no one
To stop my rapid fallout
As the drops of me
Soak into dried earth

Very well written and also an amazing feeling that it gives while reading. One thing I can say, I write poems as well but to tell you the truth, this poem here, is emotional.

What I like the most is how you used the words after the sentence "Who am I", this sentence on its own is an emotion, not to speak of the whole poem. Brilliant work and also I wish you the best on your journey, but do not forget, every tunnel or road has light at the end
Love and Light. Namaste!

Thanks for the encouraging words, glad you found the poem emotional, that's what I was going for.

Keep holding onto that part of you, many people forget and let go!
Plato believed that "freedom" was not the licence to satisfy our whims and wishes. He thought that we were slaves to our desire, and we were only free when the choice to satisfy ourselves was taken away from us so we could just... BE.

Absolutely beautiful writing

Really? I didn't realise Plato was so close in some of his opinions to Buddhism
Sadly for today's people, the choice to satisfy ourselves is not taken away, I would say the opposite is true, marketing within materialism creates more and more illusions that we can choose and that we matter. That is of course false, as you say we are slaves to the desires that were brought to us by our environment. We therefore must work hard to realise the falseness of our choices and the deception that is 'freedom' as it is portrayed to us through the media.

That's brilliant! It really touched me.
I know how hard it is and unfortunately there is no easy way out of depression.
And sometimes it's hard not to give up.
But there is so much we could learn about ourselves from it and we should keep trying, you're right.
Thank you for putting in words what we can't explain.

Yes, the opportunity to learn will hopefully be always greater than the desire to give up!
