You really captured him here, the very essence of his character. That half annoyed, half amused, all "I am SO better than you!" way he tended to regard other people. Brilliant picture.

The plan had been for the Master to die a heroic death and the revelation that he and the Doctor were two parts of the same being. It would explain why they could never kill each other.

Agreed. Delgado had a charm as the Master. His Master was almost always polite, showed manners, and yet still managed to be evil. You could tell that he and the Doctor were old friends.
He always apologized to Miss Grant when she got in the way and had to be disposed of, he always was of impeccable class, and he was overall the gentleman villain. I actually looked forwards to seeing the Master.

I was saddened to have learned how Delgado had died in the early 1970's like when I was only 3 years old, There was only 1 other guy playing as the new Master that had *almost* the same charm as Delgado, that was the guy seen in the Fox network's Made-For-TV Eighth Doctor..I HATED that production! Yes it was american made, but that no reason to botch the poor BBC reputation-the 8TH Doctor Who was the only 1 that was the worst slop out of any BBC SciFi anybody ever saw! Im saying this not because the 8th poor Doctor only had 1 appearance, what made the 8th Doctor Who so god awful *was the over usage of the CGI Effects* as well as the 8th Doctor was about as interactive with his companions as a statue having pigeons poop on him-wooden actor? that guy made Willianm Shatners Captain Kirk's personality look lively

Umm, while I agree that the TV movie wasn't brilliant, I happen to be a great fan of Eight (as is quite apparent from my gallery), and while you're of course entitled to your opinion, I'd appreciate it if you could stop bashing him in the comments of my art.

Sorry, it wasnt his fault, 8th Doctor didnt get a chance /didnt have time for his character to develop relationship with his companions, I was hoping he'd come back for the 50th showing his character's personality more- I wanted to see he wouldnt be shown as bitter like the 6th Doctor Colin Baker was, Ive only seen from the old series 2 grumpy/bitter Doctors out of the 7, the first being William Hartnell (let him slide, after all, he was the oldest and met everybodys expectations ) but the second only other Doctor seen being so bitter, was Colin Baker's sixth Doctor...I felt sorry for poor Perry!

My favourite master! He and Three had a very Holmes-Morarity relationship, a kind of gentleman's honour between them which was lost in successive incarnations.
