Pew pew!Oh yah, this is the variant cover of the Megaman #45! It is a reinterpretation of the Megaman 3 game cover!
In other words, an American version, of a Japanese Design, of an American game cover. Cover-ception!
And a special thanks to Vincent Lovallo, Paul K. and Ian by the ideas of the cover, and in the developing of the character!

Excellent work but if I were to give you any advice that would certainly help future work is to not make the characters seem stiff or unnatural, their torsos are always pretty straight instead of curved, give the characters a line of action while posing them, even though it's something more common in handdrawn art, it also can apply to 3D art, you're trying to capture some kind of emotion when doing a cover.
When re-doing cover art analyse the cover and try to emulate the dynamic of the pose rather than the pose itself, keep the general compositing intact but also try to give the poses some emotion, I love you work and I hope you get better

Your work really is quite amazing, and since you've started getting commissions to do this professionally you've gotten even better! I do have to ask two questions, though...
First, can we be expecting to see your variant cover for "Worlds Unite: Part 1" on DA anytime soon? (Please?)
Second, although I know the comics have long since passed that point, would you ever consider attempting to make something good, or at least decent, out of the Mega Man 1 box art? I'd be interested to see a reinterpretation that made it look less soul-crushingly awful, and you've shown yourself to be very good at making amazing pictures based on mediocre source material.
Anyway, this is a great pic, and I hope you continue to do these for Archie Sonic and Megaman for a long time to come!

Oh, I like the design used in the Smash Bros, because it is an adaptation of Sprites 8bit. However, I think that it's very limited.
