Description
What earthly treasures she has she will take with her to her graveMade for a project at school on the 7 Deadly Sins. This is the sixth of the 7-part series. These pictures actually go together in one long picture (42 inches long) that has already been finished...I'm just splitting them up for submitting here.
Symbolism
The color I used was greenish-yellow, the color of money. She is chained to her treasures because her fate will be shared with theirs, and vice-versa. She's not struggling to get out of the chains, she is willingly clinging to her treasures within the chains. She wants them to only be hers, through her life and until her death. The treasures are locked up because she will not share them.
The setting is based on the book Dante's Inferno: a dead, desolate place.
All of the seven deadly sins in my series are women because:
A) Women are thought to be more "sinful" for over hundreds of years now. Don't get all woman-activist on me for saying that, I'm a woman myself - and no, I don't believe that "women are more sinful." I think people are people; neither sex is more sinful than the other.
B) There are more women stock providers then men on deviantart. Sorry guys, but there's just not enough of you for me to use!

I guess it could be both their not consuming the food and even though they are starving they don't want to diminish their supply so that part could be greed

'The worship of Mammon' as Greed is also known. I like the symbolism in this one and the coloring. I think it would have been better if she was maye embracing the treasure chests? Sort of alluding to the hoarding aspect of greed....

I like them so much I want to put them up in my room, but I am unable to download them now that you have put the digital signature on them. Is there some way that you can remove that? asking What program did you use to create the ground and background or was it hand drawn first and edited with a computer later? I only ask because I am a graphic
arts major and would like to know so I can
improve my own work.

I used Adobe Photoshop for the entire thing. The ground is a photomanipulation. I browsed [link] and found a picture of cracked ground from above, and manipulated it into the correct perspective. The sky started out as manipulated cloud photos from the same site, but ended up being repainted. And the mountains in the background, that was all painted with the brush tool. Hope that helps

used for video and which is for photos sorry for the lateness

Out of your whole 7 deadly sins set, I think this one is my favorite. The express she has is a lot of it, and the chains are prefect. Especially the quote, what earthly teasures she has, maybe I'm just weird, but once you read it's like that's the look on her face. Also the whole thing has great quality to it, the chests have great detail. Is the whole thing pictures that have been edited together to be one?
