Description Blue sky to the bomb
an amiable companion on a long journey, a bright scenic space
soft and flushed with wind.
Robins to the bomb,
companions in flight, feathery grey with
blood stained breasts.
Clouds to the bomb, impossible pillows.
They sigh and drift dreamily on.

The bomb looks to earth, a curvy creature.
the sun is always setting on one side or another
and the bomb sails through the skyway towards
some horizon.
The fall
of the civilized world,
floats gently through a pale atmosphere
with fangs covered
and claws retracted.

The Bomb meets the Earth.

A cacophony of fire, a starved crack,
Earth breaks like a bone.
Roots let go of their ground,
Jellyfish shake in the sea.
Lava slips through craggy slits
like congealing blood
As the ocean sobs tsunamis.

The sky hangs still, a glassy veneer,
languidly swallowing the smoke.
