How do you make the background transparent? So it looks like the uncolored part is a part of the da background?

In GIMP, go to Layer > Transparency > Add alpha layer. If you erase or cut in the layer you'll notice it becomes transparent instead of white. Or add a new transparent layer, then remove the default white one!

i do not have any of those programs either ;w; your best option would be search 'how to make a transparent image in gimp' or ps elements 13!
