Description There is absolutely no reason for this piece other than I wanted to draw Renaissance dresses. I've been watching "the Borgias" with Cloudy and we LOVE it. Aside from getting caught up in all the unhealthy family drama and the brilliance of the cinematography, it reminded me how much I love drawing period clothes. This was so much fun to draw, even with the girl in white and red's dress almost killing me. (It was originally gold and blue, but that reminded me so much of my old high school I resolved to change it, which turned out to be a painfully slow exercise in trial and error)

Anyone who can tell me what the title of this piece means and why it's both appropriate and funny, gets a cookie. Cloudy, you can't play bc I'm pretty sure you know.

I love the dresses and the motion in this piece! I have no clue what Sprezzatura means, however. It sounds like a musical term to me, but, somehow, I'm doubting I'm right on that. You and Cloudy make it sound like something questionably funny. Lolz.

I say we just import "sprezatura" into English like we did with some many French words. English is the great borrowing language ever.

I just wanted to draw something pretty. I love the coral and gold dress. The sleeves and the pearl netting, I was so pleased with it.

Oh my goodness this is absolutely/stunningly beautiful!
I REALLY love the dresses. The girl on the right's is very nice with all the color involved, and I adore those sleeves on Renaissance dresses. But the girl on the left's dress is just gorgeous, the black, red, and white look very nice.

Thank you! I actually like the coral and gold better, but the white and black turned out well. It was a lot of trouble - it started out gold and blue and it looked really bad!

I do love the coral and gold one, it's QUITE beautiful but I have a thing for basic colored stuff. That and reds mixed in, I love red dresses. They can be sexy and sophisticated at the same time.
Oh my, gold and blue sounds pretty cool, what made it turn out bad?

Mine are black and red with white trim, which is not why I like that dress. haha I just happen to like those colors, and my school wasn't SO terrible that I despise the colors now, and my college colors are the same. haha
