Hiro character concept for Neil Stephenson's book, Snow Crash, done for the same class project, photoshop painting based on pencil drawing of outline. This class project is my first try of photoshop drawings. ^_^Related content

THis is almost exactly how I pictured Hiro. And the clean, solid style you used here, is just awesome!
I see this is listed under "digital" media. Did you draw in pencil first, and then color it on the computer? Because I always thought this was just entirely colored pencils.

Anyways, I LOVE your pictures. Snow Crash is my favorite book. Not only do you have the descriptoins of the characters corrects (impressive itself, since Stephenson doesn't emphesise them very much--he only implied once that YT was blond, I'm impressed that you caught that), but you also threw in your own creative style that goes along with the story. The people in these pics have personality- and the right ones too! An artist myself, I also like how you posted your pictures so large, so I could look at all the details and figure out what you did to make them look so real!
This is fantastic. The only possible reason for no one else commenting on your pictures here is that Snow Crash is such an obscure book. But you should know that they rock!
